PROJECT
The Black House, offically called Schwaarzt Haus was a project organised by my friend Joel Rollinger. He turned an abandoned house that sat derelict for years into a temporary art gallery. It was located in the heart of Luxembourg-City and 50 artists from all different media- from sculpture to film to painting occupied a space in the building.
I had a pitch black room in the basement, where I installed black lights to make my fluorescent paintings and prints glow. It was also the first time that I exhibited my small remodelled polystyrene spheres. They are painted with aerosol and acrylic paint and suspended from the ceiling using transparent nylon string. Although it’s only a small installation I consider it one of my favourite pieces.
